Anita Silvey speaks about YA LIT

An interesting article appears in School Library Journal October 1, 2006. Silvey, a long time editor at Houghton Mifflin, speaks from decades of experience in the field of children's and young adult literature. In the article, "The Unreal Deal," Silvey discusses the changes that have taken place in the field of YA Lit over time -- from reality to craving stories that have little in common with their own lives.
