Shanghai Dress -- local newspaper needs to take lessons

Why is it that I can order a custom created prom dress from Shanghai and get it within 3 weeks; but have to spend 2 weeks trying to get a birthday announcement put in the local newspaper. Cost is approx. the same. Why can't the newspaper be as efficient as the Shanghai tailors? Just asking!
