Since my family is Irish, I am thinking the president's name should be O'bama. I really liked his campaign ad where he talked about education and saying the government could not do it alone and that parents must take time, pull out a book, and READ to their children.
Think if we as librarians and children's book authors/illustrators -- and literacy advocates really want to do something we should bombard the white house with a pile of books for his daughters to read in their suite. We should probably arrange to deliver them through our congressional delegation. One title should certainly be Grace for President :>) and of course the one about Obama by Nikki Grimes.
