A lunch in honor of Beatrix Potter

Helen Beatrix Potter (28 July 1866 – 22 December 1943) was an English author. This coming Saturday is the 146th anniversary of her birth. And the 111th year since her first book The Tale of Peter Rabbit was published by Frederick Warner Publishers. Her life is very interesting. You can read all about her life on several excellent sites including: Her childhood page on the "peterrabbit.com" site. Go to http://www.peterrabbit.com/en/beatrix_potter/beatrixs_life/victorian_childhood for background. Using some of my Beatrix Potter "goods" a few friends and I had lunch on Tuesday - to celebrate her birthday a little early. I am hoping some of the pictures will inspire others to celebrate sometime during this week (or on the actual day, July 28).
The cups with a "Peter Rabbit" motif were paired with clear glass plates, green glass goblets.  The ceramic green vases held white and yellow daisies and some green pompom flowers (don't know the name but love them).  Turquoise blue place mats and floral, turquoise and white napkins.   Note the frog tea pot.  It came from England and just looks like he belongs at a Beatrix Potter Party.
A green salad, chicken pot pie, carrot sticks, fresh berries, and camomile tea and lemonade completed the meal.  In this picture is Wendy Henrichs and Jacqueline Briggs Martin.  Check out their websites at: http://www.wendyhinrichs.com and http://www.jacquelinebriggsmartin.com
Jeni ReevesBarbara Santucci, and Dori Hillestad Butler finish out the table sitting. Check out these authors' websites at:

This frog tea pot came from Jeni - it's just perfect for another spot of tea.
A few flowers to make the rooms springy and gardenish (is that even a word?).
Peter's Garden fence - suppose there could
be vegetables behind the fence.  I like the
flowers better.
A Peter Rabbit tea pot -- just right for a few
cups of tea.
Thank you Barbara - very beautiful.
Tea for one -- love the Peter Rabbit motif.
Dori - thank you.  Are these from your garden?
Whatever they are beautiful.
