An Evening of Books - Prairie State Award (3/14/13)

Eric Rohmann was named the 2013 Prairie State Award Winner.  The Illinois Reading Council honors an Illinois Writer/Illustrator annually, for the body of their work.  This year the honoree was Eric Rohmann -- winner of the Caldecott Award for My Friend Rabbit, as well as many other awards.  His most recent book is Oh, No! written by Candace Fleming.

Several of us were guests of Eric's and Candy's (and the Illinois Reading Council) at the Award Ceremony at which Eric accepted his award.  Richard Peck, a Newbery Award winner, provided the keynote speech.
One night eight authors read from their work -- check out snippets from their work at "Illinois Reading Council Authors."
